IFC acquires Mary Harron's 'Moth Diaries'

IFC Films has acquired U.S. rights to director Mary Harron's "The Moth Journals," three several days following a medieval thriller carried out within the Venice and Toronto film festivals. IFC introduced the sale Monday. It didn't indicate if the will release "Journals," presented by Alliance Films and Edward R. Pressman. "Journals," using the novel by Rachel Klein, was modified by Harron and stars Lily Cole, Sarah Gadon, Sarah Bolger, and Scott Speedman. Karine Martin and David Collins are producers with Sandra Cunningham, Pressman, Mark Slone, Jean-Francois Doray, Louis-Simon Menard, Norton Herrick, Zygi Kamasa and Jon Katz professional creating. Story's devoted to Bolger's character, a young girl haunted by her father's suicide, who's students within an exclusive female boarding school. She flows her heart inside a diary, a variety of it dedicated to her beloved roommate -- however relationship changes drastically while using arrival from the mysterious new student, referred to by Cole.
