Adam Sandler Makes Record-Breaking 11 Razzie Nominations

"The Artist," the schmartist. Adam Sandler was the particular champion a couple of days ago. Or otherwise he's in the event you consider greater than doubling the record volume of Razzie nominations you have ever received in a single year being an accomplishment. The actor's three films this season -- "Go From It,In . "Jack & Jill" and "Bucky Larson: Born to become Star" (they aided produce) -- acquired Sandler an excellent total of 11 Razzie nominations this year, including Worst Picture and Worst Actor. That's pretty, considering you'll find only 10 groups being nominated in. A lot more impressive is always that "Jack & Jill," most likely probably the most considerably panned movies of year, handled to achieve 12 nominations, also racking in noms than you'll find groups. Since the official Razzie website referred to as it, it absolutely was a "Berry Bad Year for Adam Sandler." But Sandler's films were only some of the real ones being vilified with the Razzies. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Beginning -- Part 1" acquired eight nominations, only controlling to not be damaged inside the Worst Supporting Actor and Actress groups. "Transformers: Dark in the Moon" also walked away with seven nominations. It seems similar to this year's Razzies are Sandler's to eliminate, though. Hopefully he'll create a feel and look as of this year's ceremony -Held correctly on April 1 -- since he's broken the worst-of film honours show's previous record for a lot of nominations. That recognition had opted to Eddie Murphy for his five Razzie nominations in 2007 for "Norbit." You think Sandler had badly yearly since the Razzies say he did? More budget and/or script issues...Somebody* really, really does indeed not need the live action remake of anime adventure Akira to happen. Because the film is within limbo after Warner Bros. professionals bought the expansion offices shut lower so more work could be accomplished round the script. In line with the Warmth Vision blog, the film, which finally made an appearance being approaching shooting this year, remains a sizable headache for your studio, even though exact reason appears unclear. The main suspect seems being the movie's old enemy: its script, that's still giving problems.Though director Jaume Collet-Serra as well as the producers had sliced how large your financial allowance and begun dragging in the cast including Garrett Hedlund, Ken Watanabe, Helena Bonham Carter and Billy Burke, the issues imply that they are likely to now finish off reserved when Akira pulls itself back on its foot.Tthat "when" not "if" seems being the present thought at this time around: Warners has invested considerable money and time developing this behemoth and isn't prone to let it just disappear into history one of the large not successful projects. But given how cost conscious the big art galleries are becoming recently, it appears sensible that everyone involved is trying being careful...*Possibly everybody.

Tom Cruise, Def Leppard Fan? Guitarist States, 'Yes'

Frat boy anthem and beer-chugging track 'Pour Some Sugar on Me,' by Def Leppard, is a one of the seminal tunes in the hair-metal era -- no less than according to Tom Cruise. Inside an interview with NoiseCreep, Leppard guitarist Phil Collen recounted his visit to the audience of Cruise's approaching film, 'Rock old range,' in which the 'Mission: Impossible' star plays rock star Stacee Jaxx, lead singer in the eighties band Toolbox. Collen and also the bandmates were requested to find out Cruise film a scene where he sings 'Pour Some Sugar on Me.' After Tom sang the song within the own voice -- which impressed this rock band -- he needed time for you to provide Def Leppard some praise. "I used to be really pleased with how lower-to-earth Tom was," mentioned Collen. "He was very humble and extremely told us how he thought 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' would be a complete classic. He mentioned it deserved all of the respect and attention they can provide. And then we were certainly honored." No matter what your opinion is of 'Pour Some Sugar on Me,' watching Tom Cruise sing it'll hopefully bring a grin towards the song's finest detractors. But you will have to delay until June 1, when 'Rock of Ages' hits theaters, to finally participate in it. [via NoiseCreep] [Photo: WireImage] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook

Lily Collins Cast in 'The Evil Dead' Remake: Report

Snow White, this is not. According to Bloody Disgusting, Lily Collins has just been cast in the remake of the 1981 horror classic, 'The Evil Dead.' She will play Mia, a recovering drug addict who heads to a cabin in the woods with four of her friends. For those unfamiliar with the original film, the group ends up stumbling upon the Book of the Dead, and soon become possessed by a group of demons. Side note: BD has no official source on this story, so this news should be categorized, at least for the time being, as a rumor. Collins, who starred in 2009's 'The Blind Side,' is set to appear in the upcoming Snow White film 'Mirror Mirror' (a.k.a. the one with Julia Roberts, not Kristen Stewart). Needless to say, 'Evil Dead' is pretty much the exact opposite. Look at Lily showing off her range. [via Bloody Disgusting] [Photo: WireImage] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook
